Common Inquiries about Immigration

Q: What is immigration process?

Immigration is the process of moving to another country and becoming a citizen or permanent resident there. In the past, immigration has been very good for states’ economies, cultures, and social lives. Immigration has been going on for a long time and has led to the growth of multicultural societies in many places. Many modern states have a lot of different cultures and races that came about because of immigration in the past.

Q: How long is immigration process taking?

The duration of the immigration process depends on many things, like the country you want to move to, the type of visa or permit you’re asking for, the number of applications that have already been received, and whether you need to go through any extra screenings or interviews. The process can take months or even years in some cases, especially when the immigration case is complicated or when the country has strict rules about immigration. It’s important to find out the exact processing times for the visa type and location you want, and to be ready for delays.

Q: What is the fastest immigration process?

Right now, the average time it takes to process a case across all offices is 15.5 months. It usually takes between 18 and 24 months to become a citizen, which includes processing the application, the citizenship interview and test, and the oath of allegiance ceremony.

Q: What is a landed immigrant?

In Canada, a “landed immigrant” is a term used to describe a foreign national who has received permanent resident status. This indicates that the person has been granted permission to reside and work in Canada indefinitely. Immigrants who have landed in Canada enjoy similar rights and duties as Canadian citizens. They can access healthcare and social services, work or study in Canada, and must follow Canadian laws. Unlike citizens, landed immigrants do not possess a Canadian passport and are unable to participate in federal elections. There is a shift away from using the term “landed immigrant” to now preferring permanent resident.

Q: Is the immigration process faster with a lawyer?

Yes. In some situations, hiring an immigration lawyer could speed up the process as well. Immigration lawyers are trained pros who know a lot about the rules and laws when it comes to immigration. They can help you find your way through the complicated immigration system, make sure you have all the paperwork you need and send it in the right way, and give you advice along the way.

Q: What does a immigration consultant do?

An immigration consultant is a professional who helps those people who desire to migrate from one nation to another by guiding them through the legal and procedural processes.

Q: Why should you hire an immigration consultant?

Immigration consultants can help you make sure that your application is full and correct, and that you meet all the requirements and provide all the necessary paperwork. This can help you avoid delays and bans, which will improve your chances of success in the long run.
